Dean A. Strang is a criminal defense lawyer in Madison, Wisconsin, and an adjunct professor at the law schools of the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University. He featured in the Netflix series Making a Murderer, as part of Steven Avery's defense team, alongside Jerry Buting.

Professor Strang has experience in both private practices and with the state of Wisconsin prior to starting his own practice StrangBradley, LLC in 2014. 

He also has had numerous articles and essays published on criminal law. He also serves on the boards for the Wisconsin Innocence Project and Friends of the Remington Center.
