The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice will be hosting a backpack drive for Inside Out Reentry, a nonprofit here in Iowa City that helps recent incarcerated individuals reenter their respective communities. We will gather backpacks and other resources (hygiene products, etc.) and then donate those materials to Inside Out.

Dean Crain and Registrar Seedorff will present information for students to help plan their 2L year, including how/when to register, what requirements you need for the JD, information on the lotteries, and things to consider when choosing courses. Lunch will be provided.

Join us for a screening of the documentary Judging Juries and a panel discussion of fair cross section of the jury-eligible population featuring public defenders Kimberly DePalma and Steve Drahozal, Drake Law professor Russell Lovell, and moderator Lydia Lavrova. Orgnanized by the Citizen Lawyer Program and Federal Criminal Defense Clinic.  Attendance at one Lawyers & Leaders program each semester is one requirement for membership in Iowa Law's Pro Bono Society.

This support group is led by Social Worker Sam for any student enrolled at Iowa Law who wishes to explore gender dynamics in law school.
