Human rights scholar and attorney Hope Metcalf joins Iowa Law School faculty

Drawing on broad experience and expertise in human rights law, Metcalf’s research, practice, and teaching focus on protection of human rights defenders and strengthening democratic spaces, both in the United States and internationally. She joins Iowa Law from Yale Law School where she spent more than 15 years, most recently serving as the executive director of the Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights Law.

Kate Melloy Gottel appointed to AILA's amicus committee and as Vice Chair of the Federal Court Litigation Committee

Kate Melloy Gottel has been appointed to the American Immigration Lawyers Association's (AILA) amicus committee, which writes amicus briefs on behalf of the bar association's 16,000 immigration attorneys. She has also been appointed as Vice Chair of AILA's Federal Court Litigation Committee
