The Iowa Law Bridge Program is designed to introduce students from underrepresented communities to law school. Students learn:
- what lawyers do;
- the skills lawyers use;
- what law school is like;
and ultimately gain the knowledge to answer the question: "Is law the choice for me?"
Throughout the three-day program, students get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to be a law student by taking a mock class and by working directly with an Iowa Law professor or a local practicing attorney on an assigned project. The program also teaches students how to write with clarity, how to develop a strong application, and what factors to consider as they apply to law schools.
